We didn't know it until 2020: we both existed. We didn't know it until 2020: we are both related. We are lucky to be from the same family that exudes joy and connectivity when we sit at the dinner table. In fact, we sometimes get up, stand in a circle and simply laugh until we are eventually cackling on the floor.

Alana is our community building guru on a lifelong expedition for shaping human connection. It all began when she started hosting intergenerational potlucks in DC in 2017. She basks in the collective effervescence that results when folks connect honestly with each other. She is an incoming Masters candidate of Urban Planning at UCLA to shape third spaces that bring people together across differences.

Allie is a "solar powered" artist with her camera always in tow. You will always find her close to the beach, pulling inspiration from nature and chit-chatting along the way with other humans. Allie captures photos through digital and film cameras, drones, and underwater cameras to always be at the center of the action.

Our shared love of the outdoors, the resulting grooviness of connecting with strangers, and the art that ties it all together, gave birth to The Traveling Living Room.
